Keys REIM
Our Environmental
Social and Governance Policy
SRI is not an obstacle to performance. Impact investing is not a fad. Urban densification does not necessarily mean overcrowding and bad living conditions. The creation of shared spaces and services is indeed a genuine solution for the wider public. At Keys Asset Management, we are proud of our responsible investment practices. First and foremost, we are driven by conviction, followed by strategy. Our business focuses on social and environmental capital, extending beyond financial capital. Our approach intentionally combines accountability and competitiveness. We take the United Nations’ Principles for Responsible Investment into account in our day-to-day business practises, which has in no way proved to be an obstacle to our growth and performance targets.

Our vision
Championing a culture of innovation to adapt to changes in the real estate sectoraux mutations du secteur immobilier grâce à une culture de l’innovation
Championing a culture of innovation to adapt to changes in the real estate sectoraux mutations du secteur immobilier grâce à une culture de l’innovation
A new real estate paradigm is reshaping the very fabric of our regions and cities, which we will reinvent as more sustainable, more connected, and more human. The real estate sector is being transformed by digitalisation, the Internet of Things (IoT), an energy revolution and the circular economy. Our R&D unit is preparing the ground for these new phenomena.
In France, the construction sector accounts for 45% of final energy consumption and 27% of greenhouse gas emissions1. The sector is not only one of the most polluting regarding emissions, but also produces 40 million tonnes of waste annually. Against this backdrop and as an investor, Keys REIM prioritises ESG challenges. It is more than just a conviction: it is company strategy.
Growing user and investor expectations coupled with an increasingly demanding regulatory environment represent additional levers. They drive us to develop alternative and innovative funds that meet the challenges facing our society. Aside from the benefits to our planet and society, we are convinced that sustainable development contributes to long-term asset value creation.
Our responsible investment practices
Our responsible investment practices
At Keys REIM, we conduct responsible investment practices, as we recognise the importance of environmental, social and governance issues in the real estate sector.
In 2018, Keys Asset Management Group decided to make its commitments official on behalf of its asset management company Keys REIM, by signing the United Nations’ Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)2 which promote the inclusion of environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria in investment decisions. The six principles set out an internationally recognised reference framework for financial players. By incorporating them into our investment and shareholding decisions, we are acting in the best long-term interests of our investors, tenants and society.
In 2019, Keys REIM went a step further in its commitment to responsible investment practices. The Group laid out an ESG process throughout the entire investment cycle of one of our fund. Our long-term aim is to apply this process to all of our other funds.
Lastly, we are committed to moving beyond an investment-centred focus by rolling out best practices internally on a daily basis.
